How to Set Up a New Device

1
Power on the controller. It starts its own WiFi hotspot named “NammaIOT-…” with a slow-blinking status light.
2
On your phone, open WiFi settings and connect to that “NammaIOT-…” network. A setup page opens automatically (or visit 192.168.4.1).
3
The setup page shows your Device ID. Pick your home WiFi, enter its password, and choose:
  • Apply & Connect — go online for remote control
  • Stay Offline — use it standalone, no internet
  • 🔒 Always Offline — never connect (max privacy)
4
If you chose online: reconnect your phone to your normal network, open the app, tap Add Device, and enter the Device ID shown during setup.

A solid status light means the device is online; a slow blink means offline/setup mode.

Install the App on Your Phone

NammaIOT installs like a normal app — it then opens full-screen from your home screen.

Android (Chrome): tap the ⬇ Install App button when it appears, or open the browser menu (⋮) and choose “Install app” / “Add to Home screen”.
iPhone / iPad (Safari): there is no automatic prompt on iOS. Tap the Share icon (the square with an up-arrow), scroll down, and tap “Add to Home Screen”, then Add.
Desktop (Chrome/Edge): click the install icon in the address bar, or use the menu’s “Install NammaIOT” option.

If you don’t see an install option, your connection may not be secure (HTTPS). You can still use NammaIOT in the browser normally.

FAQ

Do I need internet to use the device?
No. The device works fully standalone — connect your phone directly to its hotspot and control watering. Internet is only needed for remote access and history.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the login screen, tap “Forgot password?” and follow the reset link. An admin can also generate a reset link for you.
Can I log in with my phone number?
Yes. If you added a phone number at registration, you can log in with either your email or phone.
How do I move the device to a new WiFi?
Just power-cycle the device and connect to its “NammaIOT-…” hotspot again within the setup window to enter new WiFi details.
Where do I find the Device ID?
It’s shown on the device’s setup page when you connect to its hotspot — no need to look on the hardware.
